What does it mean to be strong? The dictionary defines strong as able to withstand great force or pressure. After the October 1, 2017 Route 91 Harvest Festival shooting, things changed in the Las Vegas valley. A mantra was born and it was embraced by all...VEGAS STRONG! We as a community became stronger together and showed that we could withstand a great force or pressure on that tragic day.
I retired from the United States Air Force after 20 years of service and came back home to the City of Henderson. I was born and raised in Henderson and throughout my military travels, I always had roots back home. Las Vegas has great culture and is a melting pot of people and cultures from around the world. Many times I have heard that Las Vegas is a transient community without closeness and I would beg to differ. After Route 91, the togetherness of a community was put on display and it still shows today.
My last 6 years in the Air Force I had an opportunity to help change people’s lives as they aspired to have a career in the Air Force. I truly loved working with this younger generation and passing on the baton as I was gearing up to retire from the ranks. That time as a recruiter solidified my desire to continue to work with people and change their lives with home ownership. It is a people business and a business strengthened by relationships. My business wouldn't be where it is today if I didn't have some core values built into it. These same values were instilled into my being over a 20 year career in the Air Force. Integrity, Service, and Excellence aren't just three words we would say. These words are what we lived by. Always be honest in your dealings with other people, serve others before yourself, and strive to do everything with excellence in mind.
Vegas Strong Real Estate Group is just that! It is a company with a cause. Our cause is to always help others and treat others as we would want to be treated. One way I can do this is to give back to our hometown heroes. I give back 25 percent of my commission to Educators, Veterans, Law Enforcement, Firefighters, and Medical Professionals as a THANK YOU for everything you do for our communities.
